THE CATEGORY-DEFINING VITO IS UPDATED FOR 2026
Building on several years of research into buoyancy performance, the updated VITO features a new revolutionary integrated flotation construction.
The AFS (Advanced Flotation System) puts the buoyancy of the inflated jacket where it functions best - giving enhanced rotation, freeboard and most importantly stability in the water. The low-profile gives users a much higher level of moveability both in and out of the water - essential in a rescue situation and for self-help.
The AFS internal inflation chamber takes the form of the sewn outer construction of the jacket. This allows the chamber to be sewn in a truly 3D form that is held close to the body, forming a profile that maximises the in-water performance, yet minimises bulk.
The inflated product is smaller, lighter and softer than traditional 2D welded bladders, yet enhances performance in all the required measures. The construction of the chamber also allows for an improved use of highly visible colours.
The contrasting spectrum of hi-vis pink with hi-vis yellow has been proven to enhance visibility at distance in challenging conditions, over the use of a single hi-vis colour. Internal updates include an improved structured sprayhood, along with new integrated attachment points for beacons, giving better accessibility and usability of these key components.
The Hydrostatic Hammar ® inflator is protected on the back of the jacket, reducing the risk of snagging and damage whilst being worn and in-use.
The softer more flexible internal construction of the AFS further enhances the fit and wearability of the jacket for daily use, whilst the improved single point adjustment gives a quick secure fit, simplifying the f itting.
The Harness Release System (HRS), a vital safety feature for the harness is now standard on every VITO, as are the exclusive Lume-On and Pylon lights that significantly aid location in the dark
